From this Monday, a sanitary fence is decreed in the Capital Region and Bolívar state

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro announced that as of this Monday, March 15, there will be a sanitary fence and a limited and partial relaxation in the following entities: Caracas, La Guaira, Miranda and the Bolívar state, maintaining the perfect 7 + 7 scheme for the rest of the country.

In this sense, the Head of State stressed that “a partial flexibility is decreed, limited with a total sanitary fence over Caracas, La Guaira, Miranda and Bolívar.”

He also pointed out that the Presidential Commission against Covid-19 suggested him to apply a radical quarantine in the capital region, but in order to maintain the 7 + 7 scheme, he decided to make it limited to the states of Miranda, La Guaira, Bolívar and Caracas, where it was have registered an increase in infections due to the Brazilian variant.

Finally, he called on the Venezuelan people to maintain biosafety measures and not to neglect the Brazilian variant.
