Venezuela ratifies commitment to guarantee stability of world oil market

Venezuela ratifies its commitment to continue adopting the necessary decisions to guarantee the stability of the energy market in the world, as affirmed the Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, during the 24th Meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Joint Monitoring of the Organization of Exporting Countries of Petroleum (OPEC +), which takes place this Tuesday under the video-conference mode.

According to a publication on his Twitter account @TareckPSUV, the also sectoral Vice President for the Economic Area assured, during his participation, that the OPEC + Cooperation Declaration has been the most effective mechanism for the protection and stabilization of the energy market and the economy.

«Under the leadership and vision of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela has been the protagonist of this effort, especially in the recovery of the economy of our peoples,» he said.

He also stated that Venezuela supports the extension, for a period of three months, of the production adjustment level of 7.7 B/D, which will allow to contain the impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the world oil market.

At this 24th Meeting of the OPEC + Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, compliance with the production adjustment is verified and the development of the fundamentals of the world oil market is reviewed.
