Venezuela registers 8,010 coronavirus positive cases

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed this Wednesday 317 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19), for a total of 8,010 positive cases in the country.

During a work journey, the National President detailed that of the 317 positive cases, 160 cases are by community transmission, 155 are imported, and two are due to contact with international travelers.

Of the community cases, 59 are located in Caracas and are deployed in the parishes Catia (12), El Valle (7), Coche (6), El Recreo (6), La Vega (5), El Paraíso (5), San Juan (3), Antímano (3), January 23 (3), El Junquito (2), Altagracia (2), Santa Rosalía (1), Caricuao (1), San José (1), La Pastora (1).

Similarly, the National President announced four new deceased, to bring the number of fatalities to 75.

“The virus is running. It is up to you (…) I comply with my part, you all do comply with yours. We have to beat the coronavirus, but we will beat it between all of us”, said the Venezuelan president.

In this sense, he indicated that of the cases detected this Wednesday, 13 are minors, while 150 patients are asymptomatic; Eight have mild respiratory failure, one has moderate respiratory failure, and one has severe respiratory failure.

He emphasized that all cases are hospitalized and receiving the corresponding treatments.
