This June 24 is the National Day of the Bolivarian Army. The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the men and women who make up this component of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces:
“… My acknowledgement to the heirs of the legacy of the Patriotic Army that gave us Independence, you have firmly and loyally assumed the integral defense of the nation against the pretensions of imperialism”, wrote the National President in his Twitter account.
The Venezuelan National Army is in charge of land operations and protection of territorial borders. As an organism it depends directly on the Ministry of People’s Power for Defense, under the orders of the General Commander and the President of the Republic.
