COVID: Venezuela registers 355 new cases in the last 24 hours

Venezuela registers 355 new infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, 290 community cases and 65 imported, as announced this Tuesday the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.

The head of the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 stressed that “the state that this Tuesday registers the highest number of new community cases is the Capital District (93), with active infections in 18 parishes; they are followed by sates Yaracuy (63) and Miranda (43)”.

From her account on the social network Twitter, she published that the 65 imported cases are distributed as follows: Dominican Republic (49), Panama (11) and Mexico (4) with entry through La Guaira state, and one case from Colombia with entry through Táchira state.

To date, a total of 108,480 infections have been registered, of which 103,271 patients have been recovered, representing a recovery rate of 96%.

Likewise, she reported that there are currently 4,244 (active cases), of which 3,411 are being treated in hospitals, 412 in Integral Diagnostic Centers, 26 in private clinics and 395 in home isolation.

She also regretted the sensitive death of 5 Venezuelans, a 77-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman in Yaracuy state, a 63-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man in Zulia, and a 66-year-old man in Miranda state, reaching the total figure of 965 deceased by Covid-19 in national territory:
