The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that two foreign citizens were captured in Zulia state, who had pretensions to assassinate various leaders of the Revolution, «these are subjects linked to extremist groups”, He indicated.
During an international press conference offered from Miraflores Palace, he pointed out that “Venezuela faces a permanent conspiracy of political groups that have derived from terrorism in the plot and violation of the Venezuelan Constitution, they are political groups of the extreme right wing that move large amounts of dollars, and once they get discovered, they victimize themselves”.
In addition, the national leader explained that the two captured subjects belong to said groups that seek to destabilize the country and harm the Venezuelan people.
He added that so far investigations are underway to find out all the intentions of these groups, «our people live in constant attacks, since these sectors who violently attack the people, their industries, public services and their leaders», and denounced that part of these conspiracies are financed by the US Government ”.
