The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in a videoconference with the Congress 2.0 of the Communes and Commemoration of the 8th Anniversary of the «Rudder Hit«, instructed to build 200 communal cities, after receiving the proposal to advance in the Law of the Communal City that governs the organization and establishment of the communal cities.
He specified that «Is being proposed the goal for June 24, 2021, the organization, installation and deployment in Venezuela of 200 communal cities, directed in self-government by the People’s Power itself, the Communes and communal councils».
The Law of Communes establishes that the Communal City «is the system of union of communes, which within a defined geographical and territorial axis have a shared historical memory, uses, customs and cultural characteristics that identify them, with common interests and grouped among them, with political, administrative and economic-productive purposes, which pursue a model of socialist society of equity and justice, in accordance with the guidelines established in the national plans and in the programs and policies dictated by the National Executive».
Regarding the directive, the Dignitary pointed out that there is a project for the organization, the development in the next two years.
He indicated that regarding the Bicentennial of Carabobo it is suitable to «set a goal» for this task, so he instructed the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguez, who directs the Commission of Carabobo, the sectoral vice president of Social and Territorial Socialism, Aristóbulo Isturiz; the Minister for Communes, Noris Herrera, to work on this mission.
The Head of State acknowledged that it is «a big goal, but, can there be any bigger than Carabobo?, I say. Let’s get onto this», he reiterated to the authorities.
He explained that it corresponds to «concepts inherent to the Bolivarian Revolution, to Bolívar, to Chávez, the permanent revolution, the revolution within the revolution. I have been saying: Venezuela needs great changes».
In this conference, President Maduro urged that the more than 42,000 communal councils and also the communal farmers of the country should study the Blue Book of Hugo Chavez, where the political system is defined, that is, the system of government, the participative and leading democracy.
He also received the conclusions and proposals of the National Congress of Communes 2.0, during this videoconference with the Congress 2.0 of the Communes and Commemoration of the 8th Anniversary of the «Rudder Hit«.
