The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Government and the Venezuelan People, paid an emotional tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, two years after his sowing, transmitting his warm message of solidarity and accompaniment to Commander Raul Castro Ruz, Dalia, his children and family, the glorious People and Government of Cuba:
“Today is a day to manifest the unwavering commitment of the peoples with Fidel, with his ideas, with his achievements, with his dreams, with his struggles.
Today is also a day to exalt the vital presence of Fidel in this historic time, because, as announced by our Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez: “A man like Fidel will never die, because he will remain in these peoples.

Fidel Lives: His revolutionary guide forces to change everything that must be changed to be loyal to the People and their cause.
Fidel Lives: His patriotic character infuses vigor in the colossal anti-colonial and anti-imperialist struggle, the progress toward absolute sovereignty and integral independence of Our Americas.
Fidel Lives: His strategic vision calls for continuing to work for the union of Cuba and Venezuela, the strengthening of the Alba and the unity of Our Americas, to make real the dreams of Bolívar and Martí.
Fidel Lives: His profound sense of equality teaches how to build socialism in the image and likeness of our Peoples.
Fidel Lives: His radical humanism widens the heart and desire, to extend solidarity to other peoples of the world, transiting the path of human brotherhood in balance with life on the planet.
Fidel Lives: In every humble and industrious home, in the People that today remembers him with love, in their men and women, in their children, in their dignity, in their joy, in their solidarity.
