GPPSB supports approval of Anti-Blockade Law as a guarantee of peace in Venezuela

This Monday, the Chief of Communications of the Darío Vivas Campaign Command, Tanía Díaz, reaffirmed her support for the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) after the approval of the Anti-Blockade Law for National Development and the Guarantee of Human Rights, in order to to compensate the damages caused by the Unilateral Coercive Measures to the Venezuelan people by the United States and its allies.

In this sense, she stressed that as part of the defense of the Human Rights of the Venezuelan people in the face of the criminal blockade sponsored by the United States government, and its allies against the country, the approval of this new instrument was necessary to guarantee peace and hope to the nation.

During a press conference of the Campaign Command of the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB), held at the Teresa Carreño Theater, with views to the parliamentary elections scheduled for next December 6; the Chief of Communications of the “Darío Vivas” Campaign Command, extended her denounce against the misnamed sanctions that have so far caused a loss to the nation of a total of 112 million dollars and which, according to figures from research by North American economists, have left 40,000 deaths: “That is why from the GPPSB we repudiate all those criminal sanctions and coercive measures that the United States have imposed on our country, and that have brought serious difficulties to the people”.

Likewise, Díaz said that, amidst these criminal actions, the trade of Petróleos de Venezuela has been affected, reducing our country’s income by almost 100%: “Despite these attacks, the government of our president, Nicolás Maduro, has taken measures, despite the attacks and the blockade, to guarantee attention to the population during the Covid-19 pandemic”, she emphasized.

Similarly, the political parties that make up the GPPSB expressed their support for the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the great effort it has been making to guarantee transparency, trust and security, in the elections on December 6. On this, Díaz specified the CNE has made a great effort to develop the automated system that will be used in the next elections, and emphasized the security conditions provided by this system to guarantee the inviolability and secrecy of the vote.

For her part, the executive secretary of the Patria Para Todos (PPT) party, Ilenia Medina, pointed out that when the United States or the European Union dare to block our money, to freeze the assets of Venezuela, to prevent the arrival of medicines and food to the country, they are committing crimes against humanity: “It is enough to know that in the Constitutions of those countries, there is no norm that allows them to act against a sovereign and independent people, to realize that this is a crime”, said Medina

He added that the old National Assembly ceased to be a branch of the Public Power to “become a den of thieves, terrorists who have attacked their own people, robbing them and sponsoring both sanctions and blockades and crimes against humanity, making the country suffer”.

Finally, the president of the “Podemos” Socialist Party, Didalco Bolívar, assured that this pandemic is a world condition that will not hinder the electoral process in Venezuela on December 6: “The elections cannot be postponed, we are complying with the constitutional mandate. There have been made 15 elections around the world, and Venezuela will not be the exception”.
