Venezuela demands an end to imperial sanctions in UN Human Rights Council

On behalf of Venezuela, the Sectoral Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism, Mervin Maldonado, attended the 50th regular session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization (UN) for the adoption of the report of the third universal newspaper, and during his participation, he advocated the definitive lifting of imperial sanctions against Venezuela:

“Venezuela has been the target of 502 unilateral coercive measures and other criminal and illegal, direct and indirect provisions, aimed at destroying the country’s economy, destabilizing democracy and ending the inclusive social model promoted by the Bolivarian Government”, said Maldonado from the city of Geneva, Switzerland.

Likewise, he pondered that such sanctions have been perpetrated by the imperialist elite of the United States of America, the European Union and other States and organizations, which violate the human rights of Venezuelans.
