The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, will present in the next few hours the clinical trials that Venezuelan scientists have been carrying out, in order to promote the different treatments that are applied to infected patients in the country, reported the vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.
“In the next few hours, our President Maduro will present the clinical trials that are being carried out in the country to treat Covid-19, they are advances for patients, it is health that is put at the service of the people”, she stressed.
It should be noted that the Presidential Commission for the Prevention of Covid-19 in the country is made up of renowned and qualified scientists, who have put their experience at the service of the nation in times of pandemic.
From the Rafael Rangel National Institute of Hygiene, the only one certified by the United Nations to manufacture blood sample collection kits to perform PCR tests for the diagnosis of Covid-19, were recently identified 90% of four SARS-CoV-2 genomes that circulates throughout the national territory.

In this context, one of the lines of study in the country is advancing to test possible drugs from natural products in relation to Covid-19, as highlighted the Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez.
