COVID: 967 new cases were reported in Venezuela this Thursday

A total of 967 new infections of COVID-19 were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, with 921 being community transmissions and another 46 cases imported, to raise up to date the total number of patients who have tested positive to 70,406, of which 10,080 are active, 59,745 have recovered (86%), 5,744 are in Hospitals, 3,883 in CDI, 453 in Private Clinics, and the figure of 581 deceased.

The information was released this Thursday by the president of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, Delcy Rodríguez, through a series of publications on her account on the Twitter social network @drodriven2, at the end of the daily meeting on the balance of this disease in the country:

“In the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 we are constantly working and monitoring the actions undertaken by the Bolivarian Government to contain this pandemic that has claimed so many lives in the world”, she said.

She explained that unfortunately, this Thursday 7 Venezuelans have died due to the virus:

1 woman of 76 and 2 men of 69 and 40 years – Apure state

2 men of 68 and 81 years – Aragua

1 60-year-old man – Mérida

1 64-year-old man – Miranda

Regarding community cases, today Aragua state is the entity with the highest number of infections in the last 24 hours (125), followed by the Capital District (120), with new cases in 19 of its 22 parishes, including: El Valle (28) El Recreo (11) Sucre (9).

In the rest of the country, states Yaracuy 103; Falcon 99; Miranda 68; Barinas 60; Zulia 53; Merida 37; Anzoátegui 36 and Delta Amacuro 35, among the entities with the highest number of cases.

While regarding the 46 imported cases, 45 of them came from Colombia, with patients entering through the borders of Táchira (37), Zulia (7) and Apure states(1), and 1 coming from Brazil, who entered through Bolívar state.
