President Maduro announced 3 levels of quarantine flexibilization in the country

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro reported that this Monday begins a new phase of quarantine flexibilization that will be carried out at three levels in order to prevent further expansion of Covid 19 throughout the country.

In this sense, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, explained that this model was developed after an evaluation was made with all the governors, mayors and protectors of the 23 states of the country and the Capital District.

Level 1: Radical quarantine, in Zulia state, and all the border municipalities, such as El Vigía (Mérida state) and Cumaná (Sucre state), for having major outbreaks of infection.

Level 2: Partial and supervised flexibility in 13 states of the country. Here the first 10 sectors that had been previously relaxed will be reopened. The construction, hardware, chemical industry, transport, banking agency, hairdressing, textile and footwear, and personalized services sectors, as explained Rodríguez.

All these sectors will be reactivated in the same hour scheduling that was started in the first week.

The Executive Vice President announced that among the states that will enter into this flexibilization are: Carabobo, Táchira (with the exception of border municipalities), Trujillo, Mérida (with the exception of El Vigía), Apure (with the exception of border municipalities) , Bolívar (except Santa Elena de Uairén), Aragua, the Capital District, Miranda, Sucre, Falcón, Anzoátegui and Yaracuy states.

Level 3: Complete flexibilization. This will allow the reactivation of the 24 sectors – and will be made up of: Amazonas, Barinas, Cojedes, Delta Amacuro, Guárico, Lara, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, Portuguesa and La Guaira states.

For his part, the National President reiterated his call to the Venezuelan population to maintain preventive and biosafety measures to stop the chain of infections.

«The quarantine was quite advanced. How is the coronavirus produced and arrives? By two main routes, the trail migrants who arrive at their homes and the street transmission, by getting into a bus, when going to the streets, or to some party around, then they catch it. The misuse, or the non-use of the face mask”, stressed the Venezuelan president.

The President of the Republic asked mayors and governors to hold a press conference to explain these 3 levels of flexibility in more detail to the Venezuelan people.
