The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during the day of electoral simulation that took place this Sunday throughout the country, assured that Venezuela has the electoral system which is the safest, most transparent and most audited in the world.
Maduro, while touring each of the steps of the polling horseshoe, in the electoral center enabled in the Bolivarian National School «Simon Rodriguez», in the city of Caracas, stressed that the Venezuelan electoral system is the only one with fingerprint verification.
Here, only one vote is cast per voter, the President said once his identity was verified, by means of the fingerprint, and authorized to exercise his vote.
He recalled that the proof of voting, expression of the physical vote, is deposited in the boxes arranged in each of the tables. This ballot, at the close of the electoral process, is crossed with the minutes of the tables, as part of the hot audits carried out on the electoral system.
He invited the 20,526,978 voters called to elect the President of the Republic and the 18,919,364 voters to elect the 251 legislators to the state legislative councils, to vote on May 20.
