Successful safeguard operation of the first Iranian ship “Fortune” that entered Venezuelan territory

The operation to safeguard the first Iranian ship, which entered Venezuelan territory loaded with fuel, is cataloged as successful, after the entry of vessels from Iran on Saturday, a milestone in the independence and sovereignty of Venezuela.

In this sense, the oceanic patrol boats of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), carry out the safeguard operation of the 5 Iranian ships that began arriving in Venezuelan jurisdictional waters on May 23.

The first communication contact in international waters with the Iranian “Fortune” ship was established after 02:00 pm.

Likewise, the Yekuana Ocean Patrol Command Bridge reported every movement of the mission, and after 07:00 pm the crew on board welcomed the tanker “Fortune” to jurisdictional waters of the country.

In this same order of ideas, V / A Aníbal Brito, Commander of the Insular Maritime ZODI, reaffirmed “On behalf of our President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros and of all the Venezuelan people, we infinitely thank and appreciate the support received from the sister Islamic Republic of Iran”.

Likewise, he said that the entire operation was carried out with complete normality, where no threats of any kind have been presented on the High Seas, all in complete peace.

This operation led by the Strategic Operational Command coordinated with the Marítime-Insular REDI, enhances the morale of the Venezuelan people, victim of a fierce economic bloc. “The Iranian ship “Fortune” was conducted in the best possible way, we did not have any setback, nor any threat that patrols the estimated conduct of the entrusted Mission”.

The Iranian ships will enter jurisdictional waters progressively and will be escorted to the El Palito Refinery, located in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, once it is there with the fuel, then it will be distributed to the rest of the country.

Likewise, at approximately 6:45 am, the first Iranian ship sailed in the waters of Nueva Esparta state, on a journey that proceeds with complete normality, being the first of the 5 ships that began to arrive in Venezuela.

It should be noted that one of the ships brings supplies to reactivate the production of gasoline in one of the most important refineries in the country, as is the El Palito Refinery, located in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, which is the final destination of each of these ships.
