Venezuela designs special border care plan against Covid-19

The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, explained this Monday that Venezuela designs special plans to serve citizens who enter through the country’s border areas, given the exponential growth of Covid-19 in Colombia and Brazil.

“The risks are there, with the epicenter of the global pandemic on our continent, as we know in the United States. Having neighboring countries with an exponential growth curve, in Venezuela we have designed special plans for the care of Venezuelans as they enter through different borders”, said Rodríguez, speaking from Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

To keep the contagion curve flattened, Rodríguez reminded that the social quarantine must be met, and thus avoid a massive outbreak.

Until this Monday, Venezuela reports a total of 189 positive cases of Covid-19, since the first cases were detected on March 13 and the figure of 9 deceased remains.
