165 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Venezuela

Venezuela registers, to date, 165 confirmed cases of COVID-19, as reported by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez.

According to the balance offered by Rodríguez from Miraflores Palace, there are six new cases detected this Monday distributed in Táchira, Trujillo, La Guaira states, and the Capital District; of which two come from Colombia, one from Peru and three cases whose provenance has not been determined.

Likewise, he confirmed a total of 65 cases of people recovered throughout the country.

Regarding the Patria system, the Vice President detailed that there is a number of 19,320,793 Venezuelans registered on the platform, of them 17,294,092 have answered the survey related to COVID-19.

Holy Week at home:
In reference to the religious celebrations on the occasion of the Holy Week, Jorge Rodríguez was emphatic in saying that it must be remained in quarantine because “this is the key to defeat COVID-19, in order to get to flatten the curve and to bring down the pandemic, which in this moment has threatened the entire humanity”.

At the close of this balance are registered worldwide, 1,340,458 confirmed COVID-19 cases; being the epicenter of the pandemic the US; with 363,424 people infected.
