Nerio Galban: Venezuela has the ability to defend against external agents

The National Commander of the People’s Guard, Major General Nerio Galban said on Monday that Venezuela has the ability to defend against any attempt of foreign interference.
“We have the great ability to defend and protect ourselves from external agents, from any threat of risk and vulnerability coming from abroad and within the country, that capacity is multiplied by 10,” Galban said during his participation in the “En la Palestra” IIn The Podium) program, broadcast by RNV Informative channel.
He said the national defense system is comprised of a Bolivarian strategic thinking with a reasoned, essentially Chavista basis, and now more than ever, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces are integrated.
“The FANB now have a clear experience of the historical struggles of the people and on what it is defending, it has a fierce ideology of patriotism and honor,” he said.
In relation to the actions that the opposition intends to promote this September 1, he said that with the People’s Guard the citizens are protected, and in this regard, he called for peace, just as always does the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro.
