Maduro demands the Brazilian government not to support terrorist attacks against Venezuela

The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, called on the government of Brazil “to stop supporting terrorist attacks against Venezuela” and demanded its authorities to return the remaining weapons that were taken from a battalion in Luepa, Bolivar state.
Regarding the theft of the weapons park of the 513th Jungle Infantry Battalion “G / D Mariano Montilla”, the Head of State urged the Brazilian authorities to arrest those involved in the terrorist act that led to the spoliation of 120 high caliber rifles that were intended to be used “to bathe the Venezuelan Christmas with blood”.
“I ask the government and authorities of Brazil to arrest these assailants and return to the Venezuelan government the remaining weapons that were spoliated”, he demanded.
The operation that was dismantled at dawn on December 22 was “directed from Colombia under the leadership and financing of Iván Duque”, said the Dignitary.
It was known that the deserters were in Colombia since February 23 and were trained in the city of Cali in a paramilitary barracks to later go to Peru, where they were led by the member of the ultra-right wing party Voluntad Popular, Vilca Fernández, and then they finally reached the border of Brazil with Venezuela to storm the military unit.
The Head of State said that the governments of Brazil and Peru have spoken out to deny ties to the terrorists, and demanded the capture and deportation of Vilca Fernández.
Finally, Maduro reiterated his commitment to safeguard the peace of the nation and stressed that despite the onslaught of interventionist sectors “the Revolution will continue its course”.
Earlier, the Vice President of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that the assailants traveled by land from Peru to Manaus, Brazil and “from Manaus they traveled to a border location where they stayed for 15 days in Paracaima to receive instructions” .
Rodriguez also announced the arrest of officers Gerison Delgado and Denis Arellano, who are part of the small group of military deserters who fled to Colombia last February.
