Venezuela will exert presidency of the Unesco External Relations Commission


Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza informed that during the first session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), held this Friday, Venezuela was elected to exercise the presidency of the Committee on External Relations

Unesco – founded on November 16, 1945 in London – aims to contribute to the maintenance of peace and security in the world by promoting, through education, science, culture and communication, collaboration between nations, in order to guarantee universal respect for justice and human rights.
