Chancellor Arreaza held a meeting with the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs


Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza held a meeting on Monday with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General (UN), Mark Lowcock, in order to review the Humanitarian Assistance Plan, signed between the Venezuelan government and the international agency:
“Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza met with Marck Lowcock, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, in order to review the humanitarian technical assistance plan between the United Nations and the Venezuelan Government”, as said the Venezuelan Chancellory in its account on the Twitter social network, accompanied by images alluding the meeting.
Last August, the UN and the Government of Venezuela promoted the Humanitarian Response Plan, to provide assistance to 2.6 million Venezuelans, for which was required the help of 223 million dollars for its execution.
This program plans to cover the needs of the most vulnerable groups through 98 projects that will be implemented throughout the country, with a focus on 10 priority states, including: Amazonas, Apure, Bolívar, Carabobo, Delta Amacuro, Capital District, Miranda, Sucre, Táchira, and Zulia.
