The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced that minutes before the sabotage of the National Electric System occurred on Friday, August 30, the social media commentators of the extreme right wing were already talking about a blackout, positioning the #VenezuelaSinLuz (#VenezuelaWithoutLight) hashtag.
From the Presidential Command Post in Miraflores Palace, the head of state specified that the attack occurred at 4:48 in the morning and eight minutes before, social communicators at the service of the right were already reporting that there was no electricity in Venezuela. In this sense, he stated that there is a permanent conspiracy and a generalized attack on Venezuela by a fascist sector allied to the American empire:
“They have not been able to defeat us yesterday, today, or ever; and they will not be able to defeat our dignity… if the fascist and extremist opposition is moved by hatred, the Bolivarian Revolution is moved by love, harmony and the will to build a homeland for all,” he said.
The head of State made a balance of the systematic attack on Venezuela and highlighted that first the ‘comanditos’ were dispelled: “we had already warned this during the presidential campaign, they, the opposition, did not campaign, they dedicated themselves to creating armed groups to attack Venezuela, to disown the results and then to attack the National Electoral Council through the cyber attack.”
He also said that last Tuesday after appointing the new Executive Cabinet made up mostly of young men and women and which is seen positively by the people, they dared to carry out a first attack on a transmission center, which was reported by Minister Diosdado Cabello; “They premiered him on his first day as minister. It was the gift they gave him on his arrival, with a first blackout on August 27, which they sought to extend until the 28th, when the first month of the presidential elections was underway, they sought to generate chaos again, but they did not succeed.”
“They dared again in the early hours of this Friday, but with the prompt response of our government, we managed to stop the plans of the fascist right wing. The people are in the streets working,” said the head of state, while asking the people to be on alert, since “now that they are defeated, they will try the worst.”
President Maduro stated that this 2.0 version of Guaidó that they want to impose in Venezuela with this Mr. Edmundo González Urrutia and the fascist of the surnames, Machado, has run out of time.
