Arreaza repudiated position of international community to the UN Humanitarian Response Plan

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, described as hypocritical the position taken by the community to the Humanitarian Response Plan, agreed between the United Nations Organization (UN) and the Government of Venezuela, to meet the needs of the people, which is subject to an economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States (USA):
“Regarding this scramble for resources: the Humanitarian Response Plan made by the UN in coordination with the Bolivarian Government and civil organizations, does NOT have, nor does it obtain any funds. These countries are not interested in the Venezuelan people. (It is) Pure hypocrisy”, wrote the Venezuelan CHancellor in his account on the Twitter social network.
This publication is in response to the information published in the El País newspaper from Spain, which details that the head of the (European) community diplomacy, Federica Mogherini, reported that the international community raised 120 million euros “for the Venezuelan exodus.”
Last August, the UN and the Government of Venezuela promoted the Humanitarian Response Plan, to provide assistance to 2.6 million Venezuelans, and thus was required the help of 223 million dollars for its execution.
According to the UN website, this program has three objectives: to ensure the survival and well-being of the most vulnerable people; to promote and strengthen the protection and dignity of the most vulnerable groups; and to strengthen people’s resilience.
Similarly, it plans to meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups through 98 projects that will be implemented throughout the country, with a focus on 10 priority states, including: Amazonas, Apure, Bolívar, Carabobo, Delta Amacuro, Capital District, Miranda, Sucre, Táchira, and Zulia states.
