This Sunday, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) on its perfect union with the heads of the Hugo Chávez Battle Units (UBCH), electoral witnesses, for the overwhelming triumph in the National Assembly (AN), which will take office on January 5, 2021.
During a video call with the “Dario Vivas” Campaign Command, the Head of State assured that the National Assembly has been recovered with the majority vote of the Venezuelan people. In this sense, he stressed that Venezuela has a new NA as a result of the People’s Power vote: «We have had a tremendous and great popular victory.»
“We know how to win and lose, and today it is up to Venezuela as a whole to win with a new Parliament that opens on January 5, in peace. There comes a change of cycle, a positive, virtuous change, of work, of recovery. We are going towards a recovery of the country, of the economy, overcoming the blockade ”, he stated.
He also pointed out that the Bolivarian Government ratifies its willingness to work, with and for the people. As well as he made a call to organize the new electoral process, since «the elections of governors are coming, let’s get prepared.»
«For 22 years we have won with votes, because we are Democrats, here we are,» he recalled.
New NA in favor of peace:
For his part, the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, said that the patriotic forces express their joy at the results issued in the First Official Gazette of the National Electoral Council (CNE), because they represent a great victory for the Bolivarian Revolution.
Likewise, he stressed that a new NA will be installed on January 5 to work for peace: «At this moment the happiness of our people must be realized in each of the states, as promised, the parliamentary elections have been held with a transparent election and with results that begin to occur the same day.»
The now elected deputy to the AN underlined the civic spirit of the people of Venezuela and the great role played by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, «in peace a process has concluded, the first results begin, we have many reasons to be happy, we are very happy in the Great Patriotic Pole and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and the Bolivarian Alliance after these first results ”.
