Arreaza: Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa together constitute a great geopolitical power

Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza assured this Wednesday that the consolidation of the union between Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa would constitute the world’s great geopolitical power.
“We see Africa not only as a great brotherly continent, but as a project for the future that we are currently developing. If we Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa would be able to unite politically, culturally and economically, we would become the great geopolitical power of the world”, said the Chancellor during the inauguration of the 6th Cultural Festival with the Peoples of Africa.
He stressed that even when visiting the African continent “can be felt the hammer of European colonialism”, because these powers now want to continue controlling its wealth.
“Our future is the union of the South, as Commander Hugo Chávez used to say. For that we must defeat the imperialists of the 21st Century”, emphasized Arreaza, while stressing that the region has great potential that has to be learned to develop.
