Venezuela and Vietnam evaluate development in agricultural cooperation projects

The Minister of People’s Power for Productive Agriculture and Land (Mppapt), Wilmar Castro Soteldo, informed that Venezuela and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam decided to retake the original agreements signed between the two nations, in order to re-boost the projects on livestock, fish farming and aquaculture.

In this regard, Castro Soteldo added that both countries also evaluate the development of agricultural cooperation plans to boost their relationships as integral partners.

In a press release, the head of the ministerial portfolio explained that the project on the status of integral partners is being studied gradually, to address not only the agricultural issue but also incorporate other areas such as oil and tourism with the aim of strengthening relations and commercial exchanges.

It should be noted that during a working meeting with the Vietnam ambassador to our country, Dao Thanh Chung, Minister Castro Soteldo highlighted the effectiveness of the production of five varieties of Vive seeds of the 90, 92, 95 and 60 series.

Finally, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture indicated that VIVE 95 is a seed that generates quantifiable benefits, achieving 8 thousand kilos per hectare and is currently being used by Venezuelan and Vietnamese producers.
