Head of State called to strengthen social movements

Strengthening social, labor and student movements to deepen socialism in the grassroots bases is the instruction given by the president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, to the General Directorate of the political organization.

From the Poliedro de Caracas, located in La Rinconada, he pointed out that it is necessary to build a powerful leadership in each sector of society to materialize actions that lead to the resolution of population problems:

“We must empower the people more and more. The success of the Bolivarian Revolution towards the future has to be thought of by working on the construction of the People’s Power”, he said during a meeting that called the presence of leaders of the PSUV and the JPSUV.

In this regard, he entrusted the vice president of Communes and Social Movements, Mervin Maldonado, to re-impel organizational mechanisms raised in the Congress of the Homeland in the face of the new challenges facing the nation.

Maduro also called to fortify the People’s Congress, an instance with which he will meet soon to evaluate strategies and receive proposals aimed at optimizing the National Government.

Strategic debate:

The Dignitary urged to establish a permanent debate – that derives in concrete contributions – on the seven strategic lines that will guide the governmental management in 2020.

“I have asked for their criticisms, opinions and proposals for the seven strategic lines that I have launched for the national debate”, he said, while noting that such guides constitute an instrument of popular government.
