The major responsibility of the new institution will be research and development in at least ten elements: seeds and animal genetics, substrates and soil studies, bio inputs and biocontrollers, alternative protein banks for animal nutrition, minimum farming practices, equipment of agricultural implements and management of water resources and irrigation systems, veterinary medicine, small and medium-scale agro-alimentary industrial processes, food conservation and preservation and packaging and storage systems.
The National Representative said that another of the areas is training and education with the accompaniment of various national universities, so he stressed that the Minister of University Education, Cesar Trompiz will join this action, so that careers and curriculums may adapt to the development needs of the country.
