The Minister for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez, confirmed on Monday four new Covid-19 – coronavirus cases, which brings the number of infected in the country to 329.
In statements from Miraflores Palace, Rodríguez indicated that one of the cases is of community transmission, one is for a trip to the Dominican Republic, and two are coming from Brazil.
Of the four cases, two are in Nueva Esparta state, one in Bolívar state and one in Anzoátegui state.
Of the 329 positive cases in the country, 89 are in hospitals whether with symptoms or not, 64 in Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 24 in private clinics, and the death toll remains at 10.
Likewise, he highlighted that Venezuela has carried out 14,699 diagnostic tests per million inhabitants, which represents a total of 440,966 Covid-19 diagnostic tests.
He explained that, of the total number of people surveyed, was detected that 192,114 people had to be visited by the 12,464 health workers deployed to care for people, through the house-by-house visit system.
Of the more than 192,000 people, 191,035 people have already been visited, of whom 23,000 had any symptoms of Covid-19. All these people underwent screening tests.
