Were decorated loyal military who faced coup d'etat on April 30

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, honored the military who demonstrated loyalty to their Commander in Chief and the people of Venezuela during the attempted coup d’etat on April 30, when they remained attached to the Constitution of the Republic.
The Head of State awarded the decorations Military Order of the National Defense in the Degree of Knight Commander, Military Order of the National Defense in the Degree of Official, and Military Order of the National Defense in the Degree of Knight.
He highlighted the intervention carried out by the military personnel in the safeguarding of the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Air Base – La Carlota.
During his speech, President Maduro recalled that these spaces were intended to be taken over by a small group of officers traitors to the Homeland who, encouraged by the government of the United States (US) and with the complicity of leaders of the Venezuelan ultra-right wing, pretended to overthrow the legitimate Government that he directs.
From the Bolivarian Marine Infantry Command in La Guaira, Vargas state, he highlighted the loyalty of the military personnel and stressed that the coup leaders once again underestimated the men and women who make up the FANB.
