Uruguay reiterates commitment to dialogue in Venezuela


The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uruguay, Rodolfo Nin Novoa, indicated on Tuesday that his country reaffirms its commitment to see manifested the process of dialogue in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela; this after three months of the Montevideo Mechanism last February 6.
According to a note published by Prensa Latina, the Foreign Minister stressed that the countries that make up the International Contact Group want the dialogue between the National Government and the opposition in Venezuela to resolve the current situation in the South American country.
“The countries that make up the forum agree that dialogue is the way to find a solution to the situation in Venezuela”, said Rodolfo Nin Novoa.
Likewise, the minister pointed out that the paths of dialogue, understanding and reconciliation are not discarded at this time; for what it sees effective to meet with the government of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and representatives of the Venezuelan right wing:
“The paths of dialogue, understanding and negotiation are becoming clearer, nothing is ruled out and we would like to talk to both parties”, he said.
According to the note, Nin Novoa said that President Nicolás Maduro agrees that in Venezuela there is a dialogue between the two parties and noted that the deputy of the National Assembly in contempt and legal nullity, Juan Guaidó, “pretends that Maduro gives him the keys to Miraflores palace”, said the minister to local television journalists while he was departing the chancellory.
