The Minister for Defense, G / J Vladimir Padrino López, highlighted the advances made by the National Electoral Council in order to guarantee, on December 6, full and safe elections.
He assured that the people will be able to come out safely to exercise their right to vote, in this simulacre to be held on October 25.
He expressed his satisfaction with the work the National Electoral Council has been doing, regarding which he explained that it has been very fluid, efficient and that it is on the path of democracy.
He indicated that so far there are many challenges to be faced, the main one is to defend the Constitution together with the democratic model, exercise full sovereignty through voting and also face the pandemic very seriously.
The second is to defend the sovereignty of the country and its right to choose freely. Similarly, he pointed out that a comprehensive deployment is being carried out to guarantee the people all the biosecurity measures implemented by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“I am sure that the Venezuelan people will do well, it is not about relaxing and causing a rebound, we will attend the electoral event with protection measures”, he said.
He also called on the people not to relax and maintain the conscience that has characterized them so far, which has made it possible to cut the chain of contagion and keep the COVID-19 curve stable.
