People and Government commemorate 209 years of the Declaration of Independence


This Friday, in the early hours of the morning, was held the ceremony in commemoration of the 209 years of the step forward that meant April 19, 1810 for the independence process of Venezuela.
With the hoisting of the Flag began the ceremonial act in the Mausoleum. This was the setting to remember those men and women who were fundamental to the independence of Venezuela. That April 19, the first steps were taken in relation to the civic military union of the people.
At the venue were present the sectoral vice presidents for Public Works and Services, and for Social and Territorial Development, Néstor Reverol and Aristóbulo Istúriz, respectively; besides the holders of the ministers for Habitat and Housing, Ildemaro Villarroel; for Ecosocialism, Heryck Rangel; for the Social Process of Work, Eduardo Piñate; and for Transportation, Hipólito Abreu.
Néstor Reverol, later expressed via Twitter that “from the Mausoleum of the Liberator, we made an act on this day of patriotic date to remember men and women who took that historic step towards our Independence on that #Apr19, 209 years ago, the first demonstration of union civic military of our people! “.
It is necessary to remember that Commander Hugo Chávez referred to this date as “the day on which was born the Great Homeland, that today is more alive than ever”.
