The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, said that the Venezuelan government has received 42 diplomatic notes from the US Embassy in Venezuela, which contrasts with the accusations made by the public opinion:
“This year we have received 42 diplomatic notes from the US embassy in Venezuela: after January 10, we received 29 diplomatic notes”, he said from the Casa Amarilla (Yellow House, seat of the Venezuelan Chancellory), in Caracas, during a press conference to national and international media.
Arreaza explained that the Venezuelan government expects the United States to rectify its position against the country in order to continue with the channels of dialogue.
The Foreign Minister stressed that the Venezuelan people have emerged victorious in the debates that have been held in the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of American States (OAS): “There have been two defeats of the United States in two fundamental organisms”.
Arreaza thanked the support of the countries that were in favor of the dialogue in Venezuela during the Security Council of the United Nations that was held last Saturday in New York, United States.
