The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects the permanent statements of the Colombian Chancellor Luis Gilberto Murillo, which do not go along the same lines as President Gustavo Petro.
Murillo seems to be financed by the United States, because he repeatedly attacks Venezuela, said the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña: «Colombian foreign policy seems to have been outsourced to Washington, with Santos as intermediary and the current Chancellor Murillo as executor.»
Gustavo Petro, the president for whom millions of Colombians voted for in hopes for a change, has a Chancellor whose loyalty does not reside in Bogotá but in Washington, said the Venezuelan Vice Minister who assured that Murillo responds to the recommendations of Santos and the United States of America.
He added that it would be very naive to think that Gilberto Murillo, once he became Chancellor, would stop answering to his real and direct superiors in the US and would start following the will of the people.
Given this situation, Peña called on the Colombian people to show love and solidarity and to reject the provocations of war scenarios by Chancellor Murillo.
