“We are living a time of dialogue because President Nicolás Maduro insists on reaching out to the opposition,” said Saúl Ortega, who stressed that Venezuela is heading towards a political situation of understanding that will create a work agenda in which all sectors of the country will participate.
During an interview on the private TV station Televen, the also vice chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the National Constituent Assembly, stressed that the opposition governors elected on Sunday October 15 will have a golden opportunity to emerge as part of a serious leadership from the Venezuelan right wing.
“Even if they are subjected to blackmail from those who were defeated, the elected opposition governors have a nice opportunity to take a step towards understanding, coexisting and presenting a common agenda of work in which the interests of the entire population will prevail”, said Ortega.
