President Maduro congratulates CNE and the Venezuelan people for their participation in the electoral simulation

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the democratic vocation of the Venezuelan people who participated in the electoral simulation that took place this Sunday, November 11, ahead of the municipal elections scheduled for December 9:

“I congratulate the CNE and the Venezuelan people for their participation in the Electoral Simulation for the elections of the Municipal Councils next December 9th. We demonstrated once again our indisputable democratic vocation. We have the best electoral system in the world!”, Said the Head of State through a message posted on his Twitter account.

For the aforementioned simulation, which took place from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm, the National Electoral Council (CNE) authorized 1,154 machines in 373 polling stations in the country.

This activity was propitious so that the organizations with political ends will carry out their deployment of sympathizers, as well as that the voters became familiar with the aforementioned electoral process.

In the municipal elections 2,459 principal councilors plus their substitutes will be elected, of which 1,704 are nominal, 686 by list and 69 by indigenous communities.
