Captured six terrorists who attacked military unit in the south of the country


The Territorial Defensive System repelled an attack perpetrated on Sunday morning against a military unit of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in the south of the country, recovering the stolen weapons and equipment, six of the terrorists were captured, as reported the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Jorge Rodríguez:
“Attention, people of Venezuela: In the early hours of today a border military unit in the south of the Republic was assaulted by a group of armed terrorists. The Territorial Defensive System reacted immediately, repelled the attack, and effectively captured six of the assaulting criminals and recovered the stolen weapons and supplies”, said the minister through Twitter.
Rodríguez explained that the criminals were trained in paramilitary camps in Colombia and that the operation was supported by the government of the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro.
Likewise, he indicated that during the assault a Bolivarian Army officer was killed, while highlighting the FANB’s defensive action in favor of the national sovereignty and integrity.
“With pain we must report that in the attack the terrorists murdered a young officer of our Bolivarian Army. Even under the stones we will look for the remaining fugitive homicides to pay before the law for such a cowardly crime”, he said.
