The US pressures countries in Europe not to invest in Venezuela

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, denounced on Thursday that the charge of business of the United States is pressing for countries in Europe not to invest in Venezuela:

“These days I met with some European businessmen and immediately the Charge d’Affaires of the gringo Embassy called to press them and to tell them: You shall not invest in Venezuela”, he said during the opening of the 14th International Book Fair of Venezuela (FILVEN 2018).

He stressed that, fortunately, these countries told the US official that they are free and they do invest with whomever they want.

In that sense, he affirmed that: “We will continue to face the obstacles that come our way, the aggressions that may come, and Venezuela will remain free and happy”.
