COVID: Venezuela registered 1,084 new community transmissions and 7 imported cases

A total of 1,091 new cases of COVID-19, of which 1,084 are community transmissions and 7 imported cases, were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, raising the accumulated total of infections to 265,642, while the rate of recovered remains at 9 percent, totaling 246,983 recovered patients.

The highest number of community cases of the day were detected in Mérida state, being the entity that registered the highest number of patients with 224 people distributed in 1 of its 23 municipalities, while of the 7 imported cases of the day, four (4) came from Ecuador and three (3) from Panama, who entered through the Maiquetía International Airport, in La Guaira state.

Was also reported the death due to COVID-19 of 18 people, aged between 31 and 85 years, to add a total of 3,023 deaths to date.
