Venezuela advances victoriously in the construction of the new public security model

Highlighting the commitment of police personnel in matters of citizen protection, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that Venezuela “is winning the battle for the construction of a new model of public security”.

On the occasion of the National Police Day, he indicated that “we are engaged in a new leadership”, which is why he extended his acknowledgement to the 5,565 promoted officers and more than 3,000 graduates of the police training program that, from now on, will guide its actions in defense of the people and national values.

“The country’s police are writing new pages and I say high morals, maximum commitment to the community”, he stressed in a video projected for officials at the headquarters of the National Experimental Security University (UNES), located in Caracas.

Battle against trail smugglers:

Referring to the crusade that Venezuela is carrying out against COVID-19, the dignitary instructed police officials to remain vigilant in the face of the “trocheros (trail smuggler) networks” that seek to attack the health of the people.

He indicated that – in search of cutting the chains of contagion – they will continue to deploy to locate the nationals who have entered illegally violating health protocols.

This Wednesday, the Head of State reiterated that a strategy is being launched from Colombia to infect the main cities of Venezuela, sponsoring irregular entry through clandestine border crossings (trails).

Given the rebound in COVID-19 cases, the Venezuelan population made available the email trocheros2020@gmail.com to report citizens who return illegally.
