PDVSA will market its products in Petros

“Go open your wallets”. This was the call made by the Minister for Petroleum, Manuel Quevedo, to all clients of the state oil company in the country, about the entry into operations of the new Venezuelan cryptocurrency, the Petro, backed by the largest oil reserves of the world.

“We make a call to international airlines, private areas, anyone who have airplanes, to register, to open their wallets”, said the president of Pdvsa once obtained the purchase certificate at the box office of the National Superintendence of Crypto-assets and connected Activities (Sunacrip), located on Urdaneta Avenue, in Caracas.

Products such as fuel for aircraft and ships will be marketed in Petros, “the currency of Venezuela, the unit of account of PDVSA. It is the future of the national oil industry”, agreed the official reiterating the warrant to airlines and shipping agencies.

He announced that Venezuela will present the Petro before the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), in the first half of 2019, ensuring that the goal is to convert this cryptocurrency “into the future of oil transactions worldwide,” as part of the internationalization strategy of this digital currency.

He did not hesitate to assure that the Petro is the future of the Venezuelan economy and has become an alternative to the unilateral sanctions of the United States, so he invited entrepreneurs and individuals to access this cryptocurrency.
