Piñate: New salary tables refute that all workers would earn minimum wage

The minister for the Social Process of Work, Eduardo Piñate, said that after the signing of the new salary tables, the National Government refutes that all workers would earn a minimum wage and that supposedly there would be no collective agreements of the working class.

Piñate stressed that these agreements are making favorable adjustments for workers in the established framework of collective contracting:

“We are in a process of emancipation of the Venezuelan working class and in this case we have strengthened the wage in a very important way with two fundamental milestones, a strengthening of the currency through monetary reconversion and an increase in the minimum wage with an adjustment 6,000% on the previous one”, he said.
