National Government initiates process of regularization of NA

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said Sunday that sectors of the Venezuelan opposition have expressed their intention to regularize the situation in which the National Assembly (AN) is held, after failing to comply with the ruling of the Supreme Court Of Justice (TSJ).

During his program “Los Domingos con Maduro” (Sundays with Maduro), broadcast from the facilities of La Villa del Cine (The Cinema Village) in Miranda state, the national leader authorized the head of the dialogue commission by the Government, Jorge Rodríguez, as well as deputy Héctor Rodríguez, to elaborate a Document of consensus with opposition sectors to facilitate the return of the NA into legality.

“I have authorized Jorge Rodríguez to advance in a process of elaboration of a central document agreed with the opposition, which, together with the deputy Héctor Rodríguez, would facilitate the legalization, the return into the Constitution, the regularization of the National Assembly, as it has been requested to us by several leaders and spokesmen of the MUD”, he said.

He added that on Monday will be presented documents regarding this issue and reiterated his willingness to achieve dialogue and peace in Venezuela. “I am available to facilitate that these conversations that have been given in private with the commissions of the Board of Dialogue, would arrive to a happy ending for Venezuela, beyond the political fight, beyond the unnecessary conflicts, for Venezuela, Political dialogue, peace, peace, peace”, said the Head of State.
