Attorney General: There is great hope with the municipalization of justice

Tarek William Saab, Attorney General of the Republic, highlighted on Tuesday that the municipalization of Venezuelan justice is extremely important for the people to have access to it at all levels.

In his opinion: “There is great hope with the municipalization of justice”. In addition, the Attorney General of the Republic, assured that concrete achievements have been obtained in the fight against organized crime, through the judicial system such as the fight against drug trafficking, cartels and mafias of corruption.

“The municipalization of justice would imply striking and at the same time optimizing. Attract our municipalities to popular power, which has access to a progressive justice system, a guarantor, with full respect for human rights, with our institutions at the side of the people, so that the premise that only the humble and it was left free to that one that obtained with great buffets a mercenary defense”, he expressed.

For that to be possible, Tarek William Saab proposes the creation of the Regional Operational Committees of Justice, since with their support it is possible to achieve more effectiveness in the security plans in the country.

He emphasized: “We are in a stellar moment of great articulation, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the judiciary, and the citizen, we are experiencing a moment of institutional unity that did not exist in the past.”

The information was provided during a meeting with representatives of the Venezuelan Justice System to direct the 2018 Plan of Action, which aims to bring justice to the people, as well as combat impunity and procedural delay.
