Minister Padrino López rejected aggression driven from Colombia

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) rejected the aggression driven against Venezuela from the Government of Colombia, as affirmed this Thursday the Minister of People’s Power for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, during a Social Mega Journey held at Fort Conopoima in San Juan de Los Morros, framed within the Great Mission Negro Primero (1), where more than 21,000 families and 235 military units were served.

In recent days the Venezuelan Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, spoke out against these acts of aggression, stating: “From the Government of Colombia it seems that they have no other policy than to attack the Government of Venezuela, in order to generate false positives. They are experts in false positives”.

That is why the Minister of Defense explained that through these attacks, the Colombian elite intends to interfere in the affairs of the Nation: “Venezuela is an independent and sovereign country”, he said.

The representative of the ministerial portfolio for Defense exhorted the Neo-Granadinean interventionist representatives to respect the self-determination of the brave people of Venezuela: “He who mistreats Venezuela becomes an enemy of the FANB”, he emphasized.

Padrino López affirmed that despite the ravages of the economic war, the security and social welfare system of the FANB and the people continue to be provided through the Great Mission Negro Primero”,

He also specified that were delivered technical and socioeconomic solutions: “Mechanisms to promote the protection of the people and the military forces, just as dreamed by the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, who is considered the re-founder of the FANB”.

Padrino López said that 4,000 items were delivered in order to raise the operational readiness, with the aim of consolidating peace and strengthening the defense of the Homeland.

(1) Negro Primero (The First Black) was the nickname of Pedro Camejo, an afro-descendant soldier, a military hero of the Venezuelan Independency war. He was a Venezuelan soldier who at first fought with the royal army, only to later go over to the rebel army during the Venezuelan War of Independence, reaching the rank of lieutenant.
The nickname of Negro Primero was inspired by his bravery and skill in handling spears, and because he was always in the first line of attack on the battlefield. It is also attributed to his having been the only black officer in the army of Simon Bolívar.
Mission Negro Primero aims at improving the social condition of soldiers and members of the military forces.
