Despite the siege, Venezuela undertook a Plan for Economic Recovery, Growth and Prosperity that has broken the traditional paradigms, said the Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, during his participation in the second day of the session of the Council of Rights Humans in Geneva, Switzerland.
He denounced once again the economic financial blockade and the coercive and unilateral measures by the United States and the European Union:
«It has been difficult for Venezuela to receive and import the basics for food and health of our people. Because of the unilateral coercive measures, the securities of Venezuela at the hands of Crédit Suisse have lost their value in the order of 265mm dollars», said the Chancellor.
The Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs published in its account of the Twitter social network @CancilleriaVE in a second tweet that Arreaza explained that «1,600 billion dollars have been blocked by Euroclear, this in order to generate internal situations of political, economic and social instability».
In his speech, he explained to the Human Rights Council that Venezuela has a social protection system that has been able to overcome the economic difficulties to protect the people.
Despite the sanctions and the attempted assassination against the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela has embarked on a Plan for Economic Recovery, Growth and Prosperity that has broken the paradigms of the traditional economy, said Arreaza.
