Venezuela demands justice for migrants kidnapped and sent to concentration camps in El Salvador

In a firm denounce during his «Con Maduro+” program, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro exposed this Monday the serious human rights violations committed against Venezuelan migrants by the Nayib Bukele regime in El Salvador, in coordination with the United States’ immigration policies. Maduro described these actions as fascist and Nazi acts, comparing the detention centers in El Salvador to concentration camps.

The president specifically referred to the kidnapping and forced transfer of Venezuelans from the United States to El Salvador, where they are subjected to inhumane conditions without the right to defense or due process:

«It cannot be that, just because of being Venezuelan, a person is captured, convicted, and sent to concentration camps in El Salvador,» questioned President Maduro.

Directly addressing Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, the head of state asked: «From the respect, are you going to support this injustice? Without any right to due process, creating concentration camps and imprisoning good people without trial?» President Maduro demanded clear answers about El Salvador’s complicity in these practices, which he described as inhumane and illegal.

The Venezuelan president also questioned the criminalization of migrants based on prejudice and stereotypes:

«Is it fair, legal, and humane to proceed in such a manner against a person just because they are a migrant, or just because they have a tattoo?» he reflected. He clarified that if a Venezuelan commits a crime in another country, it is up to the justice system in that territory to investigate and guarantee the right to defense: «Justice determines, and if they are guilty, they must comply with what is required by law,» he stated.

Comparison with Nazi and Fascist Practices:

President Maduro compared the mass deportations and detention conditions in El Salvador to the practices of the Nazi regime during World War II:

«We are talking about concentration camps, of people kidnapped and tortured simply for being Venezuelan. This is a flagrant violation of human rights and a clear example of fascism,» he stated.

The president also criticized the United States’ Alien Enemies Act, used to justify these deportations, and reiterated that Venezuela is willing to collaborate with international justice to ensure respect for the rights of its citizens.

«If the United States has a case to investigate, let’s activate dialogue and, in accordance with the law and justice, we will see what must be done,» he proposed.

Venezuela demands justice and international solidarity:

The Venezuelan president assured that his government will not rest until it guarantees the safe return of all Venezuelans affected by these immigration policies.

«Venezuela is ready and willing to denounce these human rights violations in all international forums,» he stated. He also called for solidarity from the peoples and governments of the world to stop these fascist and xenophobic practices.
