The Vice President for Citizen Security, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, denounced that during the raids and seizures of cell phones from people involved in the destabilizing plans against the country, after the confiscation of more than 400 firearms that entered Venezuela illegally, «a possible terrorist attack on the Argentine embassy in Venezuela was thwarted, where the Bolivarian Government was intended to be blamed.»
Cabello stated that «in the face of this detestable action, were detained three people who were orchestrating an attack with explosives on the embassy,» said the Minister for Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace.
The vice president of the sector explained that, in this location, there are several opponents involved in the riots of July 29, 30 and 31.
The minister continued assuring that if the attack on the embassy were to take place, “they were looking to generate the opinion that it was (the blame of) the Bolivarian Government, so that the possibility of an invasion would open up.”
Cabello stated that there are already some detainees from this operation, “but beyond the arrests, there are the links,” among them he mentioned Belén Salas alias “La Niña”, Diomer Rincón and Jesús David Chirinos Rodríguez a.k.a. “El Diablo”, Salas’ husband: “These people on their cell phones maintained contact with an already known man, (who was) arrested and convicted of attempted murder, it is José Miguel Estrada, and after an expert examination and the seizure of some cell phones, other names of people related to the extreme right wing began to appear, who gave the orders for the attack,” he commented.
In this regard, Cabello warned that these people were talking about throwing grenades and explosives to the Argentine Embassy, while stating that those involved have ties to Gilber Caro, of the Voluntad Popular party, a friend of Guaidó and detained in the United States for being involved in a fatal traffic accident.
