ANC approved decree in rejection of unilateral measures imposed by the EU

The National Constituent Assembly (ANC) approved on Tuesday a decree in rejection of the new unilateral measures imposed by the European Union (EU) against 11 high officials of the Venezuelan State.

In the decree, the plenipotentiary body: “Rejects the most recent, illegal and immoral sanctions of the European Union against the people and the democratic institutions of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in violation of international law and the self-determination of the peoples and the sovereignty of the states”.

In the text, the ANC supports all actions undertaken by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to contribute to peace and sovereignty of the country.

In response, the plenipotentiary body reiterated “the responsibility of opposition factors who, even knowing the consequences of these aggressions against the Venezuelan people, stimulate nationally and internationally the suffocation of the country, preventing the acquisition of priority goods and services such as food and medicine”.

“To reiterate to the European Union our unwavering determination to defend our sovereignty and self-determination cemented under a democratic, participatory and protagonist model that will not be held back by any action or threat that pretends to alter the interests of the people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela”, reads the text.

In addition, in the decree the ANC reiterates its commitment to work for peace and stability in Venezuela.

For his part, the President of the plenipotentiary body, Diosdado Cabello, stressed that before the attacks of the empire the Bolivarian Revolution will remain united.

He pointed out that those who now punish and assault Venezuela “are disqualified to condemn any representative of the national government” because they have no morals.
